how exactly is the motor mount braced?

Well the transom (inside hull) will come up to 20" then there is about a 6-8" drop to the hunt deck floor and off the back of the hunt deck you have your motor / transom that comes up & has the proper angle etc. Mine was built w/ hunt deck from the start so not sure on bracing sorry.

thanks for the info and yea i knew about the channel for the initial transom bracing i just meant how exactly is the peice sticking up for the motor to mount to on the back of the hunt deck

Hunt deck is 16" long.catwalks are what ever you want. Most are 5-6".

still how exactly is it braced? just the channel welded out and thats it or what

on a bot without huntdeck you see gussets on the back corners and that along with channel across and down the transom is the bracing for impacts. Thats why im wondering about it the peice sticking up above the hunt deck

It is 6" channel across and 2 coming up 8-6" taller about a foot apart from outside to outside. When you tie in all the plate on the hunt deck it is plenty strong enough. It is tied into the sides , transom, and false transom . It is actully tied in in more area than a regular transom
