 Re: Giga
We were out exploring some areas & doing some scouting. We ran into an area with no water. He used a push pole to get back to where I had previously made a hole & got out. I came back in & jumped out. I helped him get his rig situated in the hole I made & he powered out. The least I could do since I was in shorts & he was in jeans. Just helping out I will say that reverse would have helped him today. I backed up a bit & powered right out Gtrraaaah!!!!

 Re: Giga
He will have some reason.
Like, the previous shift in humidity made the grass thicker than normal, and the only reason why WEA got out is becuase he has a modded motor.

 Re: Giga
Bout as exciting as the turd I laid this morning - wanna hear bout it too ???
WEA was following me - I run into a dead-end, signaled him to stop, which he did in an area with a bit more water, I used my trusty pushpole with GDSD idling to get back to where he was and we blasted outta there --- pretty routine stuff when scouttin backwatters....
Going into full blind building mode next weekend....
Can't wait to bust some feathers....

Heaven forbid a GTR go into a ditch with a GDSD and just reverse out.
We know you were just saving him the embarrassment of getting stuck, burning a clutch, or breaking a belt.
That's what true friends are for.

 Re: Giga
The rain was coming & it was time to go. So I did what anyone of us would have done. I motored back in there & jumped out. Giga was going side to side & I just got him centered & out he went. I did get a little video

Damm Giga, you are losing your come back. Usually you would of posted that you went first to make the trail easier for the GTR, and you ran out of water.

As long as the motor is idling, even though you are pushpoling, winching, or getting towed, you are not officially stuck.

 Re: Giga
i thought it was NO ROPE, NO STUCK?
WAS THERE A ROPE USED?????????????
KIBB, I think in most cases if motor isnt running, that doesnt mean your stuck, that means your broke down. LOL

 Re: Giga
With how far back he went (25 yds past me) he had to either get out or use push pole. I got out being in shorts & flip flops and spun my boat around real quick. Giga did the same using his push pole. I purposely dug a hole before blasting out of there to help him once he got back to where I was. When I saw he was having trouble getting the boat lined up right & going from side to side using push pole. I motored back in & hopped out helped him get his motor situated in the hole I had made & he powered out. Rain was coming so I wasn't going to leave anyone out there plus I needed to get back to the house. I will say that was the main reason of why I bought the GTR. The other motors I tried out there just bogged down. Plus they couldn't go backwards, well they could you just had to get out & move it backwards I first was exposed to Gator-Tail by a buddy and saw him use the reverse first then trim it into position & out we went. It was night & day and from that moment on in my decision making process I knew I needed / wanted reverse. I'm having to relearn this motor all over. After installing the longer output shaft, on occasion I find myself trimming down further than I really need to.

 Re: Giga
You can power out of the same hole with a stock motor the same way you can with a modded motor. I use to do it all the time!

Are you an illiterate fuke? Giga had to pole it 20 yds to where WEA washed a hole from which WEA blasted. WEA was able to get on step, not because he had mods, because he had reverse and dug a hole. WEA was just digging a tranasse for Giga.
I'm starting to think I could probably go through more chit with my old tunnel than you 2 with this GDSDs. You just gotta be a little smarter than the equipment than you operate.

 Re: Giga
Never said there was anything to brag about. Just said that reverse would have helped out a bit yesterday.
The trail wasn't big enough for 2 boats side by side & I didn't feel like exposing the Iphone to Giga's prop spray lol
There was no competition going on just scouting areas for duck season. Tides have been low so meeting up / having some fun out there should be scheduled soon!
I wonder what Miller Lake looks like. Haven't been back there recently.
