Great lookin boat Garrett, it has a nice shape to it.

The only thing I would want different if it was my boat (which its not) would be where the 2x2s stop in the rake, instead of switching to flat bar, I would want 1x2s run with the 2" side up all the way up the rake, and where the 2x2 and 1x2 meet, put that cross brace on top of them.

I ran them flat bar so that I could but 2x2 on top of them like floating timbers. we do that on our crawfish skiffs and I works well but good idea

looks to me like that square tube welded across the top of the gunnels would get hung up on stuff.

It's not bad really I have it in my boat and thought the same thing but It helps some time like holding ice chest up. But it won't have one in the middle of the boat. It's almost finished I'll post better picks tmrw

good deal man...keep it up!

FYI.....with my boat i had a cross brace at the transistion between rack and bottom like you put in this boat. It casued a HUGE hook right there adn when loaded it would plow VERy bad. FI you raised it up even 1" it woule stop the hooking problems, or dont put in at all. If it was on top of your 2x2's you could still make the front box water tight.

Later
