 SETX Performance Mods!
Went to pick my boat from Cody a SETX Perf. Showed up and chatted a bit and he showed me that when i had my MarshMellow Prototype welded up i had one of the flanges on backwards and upside down it was pretty much cutting the exhaust port almost in half restricting the flow big time. Now that he Port and Ploished the intake and exhaust port and installed bigger valves and decked the heads it was almost worthless to run it like that without getting it fixed. So I reinstalled the factory exhaust for now. I know its not the best flow but until i can get the MM fixed which will be in a week or so. But after i reinstalled the factory exhaust i test ran it and man does it rev up alot faster and not bogg near as bad. Cant wait to run it Friday when i'm scouting!

 Re: SETX Performance Mods!
The flanges are cut at a angle to bolt to the head and off center and the way I had it just was cutting the exhaust port in half. When we built it we had minimal instructions and was winging it.

 Re: SETX Performance Mods!
Ok ran the boat yesterday for about 3 hrs. to see what the heads done. Noticable low end grunt big time and from 1/3 throttle to 3/4 throttle it screams up on the rpms alot faster. I did notice that with two guys and a cooler i was only running 3700rpm's in shallow water. unloaded at the ramp and ran it by myself and ran up to 4100 rpms and could tell i got some speed. Just couldnt get my dang phone to work on gps. but happy we will see how it runs with a pirogue two guys a dog decoys and guns and gear saturday.
