Re: sage hen?? totally agree, sage grouse taste just like there name, "sagebrush", I hunt ducks and have never eattin' a coot, or a galinule. What is the comparison to a mallard, just curious cause no one here hunts coots?

Re: sage hen?? Hell I never even seen one of those things round here much less shot and cleaned one. The look just like a coot with a bunch of color on em though, wouldn't figure the meat was that different.
