 clutch to direct drive conversion
Does anybody know what it would cost to convert from a clutch to direct drive and do away with the clutch? The motor I have with a clutch on it has been nothing but a p.o.s.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: clutch to direct drive conversion
Not a bash - to try to put a thread back on track to what the original post was asking....
Man wants to know how to trade from clutch to direct drive...
Keep the thread on track... We know the make and model now so the MB knowledgable folks can help him out if the ninja take a break...

Re: clutch to direct drive conversion
How hard could it be to fabricate a spacer the same width as the clutch...
I bet if Autogateman could fabricate parts to adapt a GT reverse to a MB - he could help the man out...
Hey C.O. - come on over and we will ride any weekend you want...

Re: clutch to direct drive conversion
Best thing, get it fixed.neutral is nice to have. Gigga,I ride every weekend I'm off, don't need to go to Texas to find mud. Unlike some,I don't have anything to prove,I like em all,and we all know gtr Is the best.if you don't get stuck sometimes, you ain't tryin hard enuff. I know its none of my business but I was just pointing out that you are, with all due respect,a shit talking coward. I promise not to nagger up this thread no more.

Re: clutch to direct drive conversion
That's what I was told, I kinda thought that seemed a lil salty too. Ive got a friend that has the same motor as I have and he said he had to make It direct drive to keep from putting a new clutch in it every year.

Re: clutch to direct drive conversion
Something must be wrong if burning a clutch that fast. Also, they cost about $300 for clutch & new pulley. No reason anybody should be goin through a clutch per year.
