PM sent , but this IS legal in SC we do it all the time. the other states you pull through must honor your originating states laws. if not , you would need a license plate on every trailer , cause a lot of states require it. if you are stopped in a state. tell the cop that it is legal in your state and that he cannot impose their laws on you, unless it is unsafe.then they can shut you down. I pull my mudboat behing a 24 ft pursuit with a 4 door long bed dodge. and have NEVER been questioned.

Post Re: pulling two boats with one truck
I'm a bit late in this post ,but I was thinkin about this just today. Me and my brother in law plan on runnin alot of longer distance trips together this year. I was tossin the idea around about getting a heavier trailer than what we currently have and building a 4x4 all weather wood deck just high enough to clear his GD. We both will have winches soon so it would just be a matter of hooking my boat winch to an 8ft mast and pulling it up the ramp. For removal of the upper boat way anchor and drive away thus pulling the boat off. It may sound crazy but perfectly legal and fairly easy to build. You also can get 2 boats with 1 launch fee thoreticaly. Anybody ever tried something along those means?

Do the stack rig all the time with small sailboats. We lift the top one with an overhead crane. I think you will have a lot of trouble getting the top boat on and off.
