The Monteleon has a storied past. There was a doorman who worked there for thirty years. Money talked, as they would say. If only the walls could, too.

I have to say New Orleans was buzzing this weekend like old times. The city is evolving into the vibrant cultural spectacle it was before Hurricane Katrina.

You guys have a great place to go visit. The only proublem with it is your lakes and rivers are full of trash and shit. It made me sick to see what you guys do to the water down there. It seems like no one gives a fuck about throwing trash in the water. If ever you guys come up to Canada check out some of our water ways. There are places you can still go and not see any trash. Any one caught throwing stuff in my areas gets confronted and told to pick up there shit. This is the part I like about strick gun rules I don't worrie about the guy having a gun Maby just a knife and I ok with that. I know not everyone is at fault but if everyone told everyone to pick up there shit it would be a lot better place. I still love LA and plan to come down a few more times I really hope it looks better next time or by then Maby one of you guys can take me to a place that looks like a sportsmans paridice not a trash dump. As I only boated in a few public areas down there. I did like caddo lake area it was very cool area. I want to point out that I too would not say shit to anyone down in LA dumping anything into the water as I know I would be the guy with out a gun. If I acted the way I do here in Canada down there about this I would have been shot and pissed on by now. That's the good thing being 6' 280 lb not many guys want to fuck with me unless they have a gun.

Canadians smoke more than Americans yet you almost never see cig butts anywhere.

This is what makes Canada my favorite place to visit.

It's weird listening to people who don't live near Canada talk about Canada. There are parts of that country that are extraordinarily amazing, and some parts that suck so bad I can hardly stand it. It's just like every other country.

I liked toronto, I thought niagrafalls canada sucked.....too many fat american tourists and touristy bullshit. Toronto was clean and had gothic buildings right next to modern skyscrapers...it has the hockey hall of fame and centennial park, the first permanent disc golf course. Now go south to hamilton and that is a Shit hole....even worse than niagra falls.

Back before I had kids we use to spend 4 weeks up in Swan River/ Duck Mountain Prov. park. If I wouldn't have been married I probably would have stayed up there. My buddy did that in Alaska, went to see the sites and never came home. It's been 12 years now, the up side is I now have a free shack to crash at whenever I can get up there.

I liked lots about the area, just wouldn't want to live there. Living up north is great, I'd just prefer to stay south of the border. Hell, looks like we are even going to have a wolf season in MN this year.

Yes a case of beer is 50$ and bottle of booze 65$ a pack of smokes is 12$. How in hell you think we pay for that " free health care" also the other way is 62% of my earnings go back to the government . It really sucks to be a working man down here! We take very good care of the others that won't work pisses me off !!!! You guys have no idea how bad it has been living in a country ruled by a federal liberal government for 20 + years.
