This is what's left of 3 dozen jumbo shrimp given to me by my Vietnamese shrimper client for helping him out with an insurance issue. That's real butter by the way.

Do the shrimp need to be pealed & de-vained?

No Coe its best that you don't peal them. A lot of the flavor of that dish comes from the whole shrimp, just remember bread to mop up the juice!

Its not complicated at all. BoatDr got it right. Get you some giant shrimp and a large loaf of fresh french bread. Spoon sauce over french bread then top with the shrimp. Damn it that was good!!! Not for those on a diet, though. Chop up an onion in there and sautee that in the butter on top of the stove. Put what ever else you want in there for BB Q flavor....artificial is what we used but you don't have to flavor it BBQ...it tastes just as good with Tony Chacharie seasoning. Be as creative as you want. Once your onions are clear from sauteing put the shrimp in....heads and peelings and all..whole shrimp, and put in oven at about 350 for about 40 mins or less. Check at 20 mins. It the shrimp looks cooked it is ready to eat.

I forgot to tell you to add garlic with the onions and sauté in butter.

Regarding beer; don't drink it; pour it in there when you add the shrimp. Highly recommended you drink 6 beers while cooking just because you can.
