 Re: prodrive props
Speed I have a 18x4 Pearce hull I get 34-35mph at 3900-4000 rpms deep and shallow water depending on water conditions I can load it down and still run 30-32 easy I'm burning hardly any fuel by turning less rpms my stock prop I got to turn 4300 to get 34mph which is not good on a motor In mud the Hopkins wheel has way more bite for jumpin up and getting out of a bad situation the stock prop I find myself working harder to get through pack tight lillies the Hopkins wheel chops them like a chainsaw both prop don't like sandbars which I think no prop does and I find that wheel is very tuff and doesnt ware down like them them stock props do but all around I find the Hopkins wheel works for me other may have different opinions and ideas but overall I'm turning less rpms still running good speed empty and loaded saving fuel and blow through bad situations with no problem

 Re: prodrive props
it came with a motor i brought but the guy had just brought it brand new like 2 weeks before my purchase and talk very highly of it and every bit of it was true and he said it was around $480 but i called and talked to hopkins about their props they can pretty much cup and pitch the wheel to ur specs how you want just tell them ur situation and terrains u encounter and they will tune it just right but in mud they are flawless your passengers better hold on when you give it the juice

After all of the mods we do for a few mph, a prop is cheap for that kind of gains!

 Re: prodrive props
What diameter prop, and which prop is it? I believe hopkins makes a few different style wheels. I know of a few guys that have run them, but are not seeing anywhere near the same results you are. Not with the little bit of motor work you have done, and not at those rpm's.

 Re: prodrive props
People have tried lots of different props from Hopkins, but I don't know anyone getting even remotely similar results as you. He has different props, different pitches, different diameters, can do different things with the cup. Reason I am asking questions is because, if what you say is true, then whatever he did with yours is what one of us would want to duplicate. Calling him and starting from scratch is expensive and has not yielded very good results for lots of others in the past, hence the reason people are recommending the stock prop as the best all around prop. If you actually knew what was done with your prop, you may be of some assistance, but just saying I have a hopkins prop with a 13 pitch that performs ridiculously better than any other prop anyone else has ever seen doesn't really do anyone any good...

 Re: prodrive props
You suck at the internet dude. Am I hurting your feelings? I'm just asking what prop you are running. He asked what is the best prop, most would recommend the stock prop as the best all around prop. That's pretty simple, not much to add to that. Call PD, order a prop for a 36hp pd. You recommend something else, but don't know what it is. A prop built by a custom prop shop, that can be built anyway you want it. The info you gave is not an answer to the guys question. Just a point in the direction down a long expensive road that many others have already been down, and are now back to using stock props.

 Re: prodrive props
Glad no came off the rocket chair now let's talk I understand ur question completely but you and I know both know 1st it all depends on ur hull weight condition of ur hulls bottom etc..... Like I said I'm pretty much pushing a tin can that's why mine performs well for me and even when I talk to Hopkins he did give me the diameter and all specs on prop but I didnt write any of that crap down that's why I can't truthly answer ur question but I garuntee call their and ask all ur questions and make sure u have ur pen and paper ready and ask about the mud buster series but I'm pretty sure it's a 13x12 if I can remember straight ..
