 Flooring Ideas?
I'm looking for a cheap and easy solution to put flooring down where I stand to drive my longtail as it starts to get slippery with a little mud/water. I'm not looking to put flooring down such as a rubber kitchen mat or such. Where could I get something like this or do any of you have any other solutions or ideas for this? was thinking about sand in paint on it but downt think that would help with mud.

 Re: Flooring Ideas?
Outdoor carpet is what i used on my 1st boat.Worked good and cheap. I put crushed cat litter in paint and used it for my old camper steps. That worked good too.

 Re: Flooring Ideas?
how well will outdoor carpet work with mud on it? I'll be running in boots all season but during the summer like to go barefoot (probably some of my problem right there) so I cant make it extreamely abrasive. I like the hydroturf but I'm not looking to put that much money into it.

 Re: Flooring Ideas?
I put grit in my paint for the floor of my boat cause I didnt want to shell out $800 for hydroturf. To be honest, its kinda worthless. I guess its better than just paint, but in high wear areas like where you drive from, it is just going to wear off anyways. If i were you I would just get some outdoor carpet and screw in some plywood to the boat and glue the carpet to the wood. May not be the best option, but its cheap and should work fine.

Assuming you have a floor- if you don't, get aluminum!- another vote for hydroturf! I used outdoor carpetting first, did not know about hydroturf then, it is the real deal.

 Re: Flooring Ideas?
I've been lookin' at a vinyl product called Nautolex that seems by all accounts a good floor covering. Gonna try it soon on mine soon. They sell the 72" width for under $20 per yard.
