Okay wanna run 12 50W LED's how many batteries and will my 35GTR cdi keep the batts charged?
Afraid to run the 27's cause our water is not a clear as what most of you guys fish down there.
Any info would be great. Thanks

12 50w lights would be a lot of light. I run 12 27w lights and get by.

Got a link to these lights? Something doesn't seem right. Do you realize how many lumen a 50 watt led would produce?

Yeah some light is considered to be warm and some cool and it does make a difference.

Last week I ordered two customfitz 27's and two 50's to try them out and decide which one I like better. The 50 come in two differnent light temps so I got the warm white. Should be a little closer to the yellow side...

I think instead of increasing watts it's better to increase the number of lights!! So if you can double the number of 27's at the same cost of the 50's then the 27 are the way to go!!

As for as the generator if your still gonna run a genny stay with what ever lights you have whole thing about LED's is not having to use a genny !! If I still wanted a genny in the boat I would have stayed with my $8 halo's

One thing I have also learned my front lights are 10" centers to close my back 4 shine as good as my front 7 on the sides they are more spread apart

I fish with both my motors! Lots of times during the night we are reversing and using the power to get the 50 amp chargers charging

I've also been told that the 50's have more punch. I like my 27's, but if I ordered again I'd go with the bigger lights.

That's kinda what I am afraid of. Ran 175 metal halides for 4 years and those suckers had like 11,000 lumens per bulb, but like anything else they have their drawbacks. Like $13.00 for one single bulb. And a sizeable genny

the 27w's can't compare to the 50's led.
50w'ers are bigger,brighter,better,but heavier and more expensive.

How many 50w can be ran on 2 batts and for how long do ya think?

Dont forget to look at seelite also. They have some realy nice led lights as well look them up on facebook. They have put together a 50w light that matches the color output of the old 225 ultras which has somewhat of a yellow tint to them. I will be running 14-16 of these on my new boat. I am in no way connected to seelite just ran across them and gave them a try. I have used lots of customfitz lights as well.
