Mine has lost pressure and will go limp if its not zip tied up. My guess is a valve or seal is bad.
Has anyone rebuilt one before? The "rebuild kit" I see on their website doesnt seem to have valves, seals, etc.
Advice or suggestions?

I know they make a pill for a limp pole. I see the commercials on the TV. Other than that, I can't help you buddy. And I guess this makes my post useless!

Check your hoses really good. Look for holes or small tears right around the fittings. I was doing 65 in my old bass boat when one of mine decided to go limp, and made a hell of a rooster tail.

If you're gonna use zip ties, keep some scissors by the bed-they're a bitch to get off.

a buddy had one do that on step and ripped the fiberglass rod off that was wild! but i believe he said it was the impeller in the pump that broke somehow.

Check your lines for pinholes and be sure you have enuf fluid in the reservoir. Do you see any fluid leaking from the unit around the fittings? You should call PP after checking these things. Most of the tech guys can walk you through a trouble shoot that will answer your ?s.
Good luck.

almost 100% sure it is one of the elbow connections that go into the power pole that connects your hoses. I have changed two of them before. It causes fluid to leak and there for you get a limp pole

call up power pole, they will send you another ( for a nominal fee)

Im going to break it all down today and see what I've got. Hopefully its just a hose or one of the 90 degree elbow joints.
I appreciate all the suggestions.
Hopefully with the help of mmt i will be able to keep "it" from ever going limp again

Post Update
I finally resolved this issue a few weeks ago and I wanted to spread the word about my experience with powerpole. Im too lazy to summarize it again, so Im just going to copy paste an email I sent them after i got everythign working. Heads up...its lengthy:

Paul and Brian,

It's been about a month since we talked, but I wanted to touch base and let you know how everything turned out. I'll fill you in on the details in case you don’t remember the problems I was having.

I purchased a boat with an older model powerpole equip with Benet pump and black Benet cylinder. The system wasn’t working, and I was either loosing pressure or my pump was shot. After talking with Paul, and sending a video of what was happening, Paul decided that it was most likely the cylinder was bad. You guys sent me a new cylinder at no cost. The cylinder was easy to replace and Paul's verbal instructions were great.

Unfortunately a busted cylinder was not my only problem, my pump was still not working correctly. At your suggestion, I mailed in my old Benet Pump for you to take a look at it. After substituting all the parts y'all could possibly substitute, we still weren’t able to get adequate pressure from the old pump. The only option I had from here was to order the pump replacement kit.

I called to order the pump replacement kit at 4:30 CST on a Friday afternoon. I was told by one of the front office workers and technicians that the order would likely not be processed until Monday. This was perfectly understandable, I don’t work Saturdays, and I wouldn’t expect you to (although having someone to walk you through problems on the weekend would be an enormous help for 9-5ers like myself). Despite your offices being closed on the weekend, I got a shipping notification on Saturday morning alerting me that my package was on the way. I was surprised and absolutely thrilled that someone took the effort to get my package on the way on a Saturday morning.

I received the package a couple of days later. The package included absolutely everything I needed including a new pump, reverse relay switch, control switch, all necessary wiring and mounting brackets etc. There was also an excellent step by step write up on how to install the system (pictures to illustrate a few of the steps would be the only thing that could improve the instructions). I got the pump installed in a couple of hours and everything works great.

I appreciate all of your help and patience. I'm a younger guy in my mid 20's and I constantly tell people that I am willing to spend a little extra money to get good customer service and personal attention. You guys have some of the best customer service I have ever received. It's unfortunate that we don’t see much of that these days. Someone told me once that an unsatisfied customer tells 30 people about their experience, where as satisfied customer will only tell 3. I want you guys to know I have been telling anyone willing to listen that you guys sell a great product and stand by it. Now my only problem is that I want another one!

You guys were great to work with.
Thanks for all your help,

Zach

I have the same old system like you have, i'm fixing to have to send everything in and purchase the new pump assembly, also did your new pump bolt up to the old benet bracket bolt holes or do you have to punch new ones?
