We have had great luck out of the yeti coolers and for an offshore fishing vessel with the amount of ice you bring and need to keep on fish for two or three days it's actually a small investment when you consider fuel cost and maintenance each trip. I have been impressed with the Engel recently and would like to try a K2. With that being said that sucks that Yeti would treat you like that after spending that kind of money. Good luck man and hope they get this resolved.
PS I'm not a frat not nor am I wealthy.

I personally own 3 Yeti's.

2 65Q & 1 110Q they are all great and I have no issues with any of them. I have won the 2 65Q and bought the 110Q. Discounts help with purchases, I'd never pay retail.

I just tried to post a status on their page about it from my phone and it told me "can not post status at this time". Not sure if it was due to being on my phone or if they temporarily blocked commenting due to all the negative comments on there right now. Looks like you've got a lot of support for your cause. Hopefully this changes their customer service mindset once they see the power of the www. I especially hope so since I just purchased the 65 qt, but like WEA I only did so because of a large discount.

I have 2 Yeti's. A 20 and a 65. My first ever 65 I had a lid warping issue in the Direct sunlight. It was replaced by my dealer free of charge with a NEW in BOX cooler. I leave the 65 behind my truck all day, and all week. This summer 20 pounds of ice with drink would typically last 4 days before it was all water. I know my other colemans or igloos never held ice more than 1 day in the heat of the day behind a truck. I have never used a Coleman extreme... to comment on these.

I won a 65qt Yeti Sherpa series cooler about 7 years ago. Built like a tank, except for the rubber lid thingy, and the rivet stripped out of the cooler, and I haven't found a solution to put it back.

Wife bought me a 50qt in February. Camo top and tan bottom.

They are expensive and yes ice is cheap, but they don't sell ice on the water where I fish and boat. I can put ice and drinks in it, use it on the river saturday and sunday, and still have a cold brew in it come wednesday evening.

I have a little coleman drink cooler and it won't keep ice for 5 hours. It's amazing how fast the ice disappears. Sucks to open the cooler after a half day of fishing, to find your last few buddies floating in cool water.

Really thinking hard about buying one of the small Yeti drink coolers.

According to their reply to my post on facebook, the roughneck series (that is now no longer) only offered a 3 year warranty. My feeling is that they did away with them for a reason. Perhaps too many complaints...

BBB i have a 20 Qt roadie. It wont hold ice like the larger coolers, BUT it will hold ice for a couple days with about a case of beer cans. Plus this one is tall enough to fit bottles standing up. Acutally It can fit 30 cans and about 8 #s of ice.

I've got a big Yeti that I've only used once or twice. I'll check the size when I get home, or if you've got my number, let me know and I'll send you pictures. If anybody wants it, I'll sell it cheap.

I'm guessing all these cats who are bitch about yeti's costing so much must drive s10's or rangers. None of them can possibly drive a duramax or powerstroke. I'm mean there are cheaper trucks out there than a king ranch. Hell for that matter I don't see to many of y'all with mudmotors on a $1000 riveted boat.

Typically you pay for what you get.

I was hoping yeti stood behind their product better than this.

Ice is cheap, but gas is High too. At a camp for a weekend when the only acess is by boat over time the Yeti pays itself. I myself at the end of a weekdn like to have ice left instead of cool water. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

Yeah I can understand that end of it being way out and having a need for it. I don't have that problem up here. Also I'm going on a week of not smoking and I have a really shitty attitude about things. At least that's what the wife told me.

If I actually used a cooler for much for than keeping beer cold on occasion, I still wouldent buy a yeti. It's just way to over priced. I'd probably go with a pelican from the reviews and price. Coleman's are horrible, had one and it fell apart I me after one summer of beer drinking.

I got on yetis Facebook and DAMN. Them boys from that other fishing and boatif site are wearing yeti a new asshole

I'm one that said I would never buy a expensive ass cooler well I now own 2 K2 and will replace all my icechest with them. Before I started chartering had REALY no need for it try standing on a 150 qt igloo much less all night jumping around on one. The top caves in and it's unsteady. I love my K2's

I have a Igloo 'marine' cooler that doubles as a seat in my boat. I put it in the house to store ice during this storm, we only lost power for a few hours. In two days being in a 68* house, my 60 lbs of ice is melted. Sad.

Yetis are ridiculously priced...but why should anyone care how much i spend on an ice chest?
As for how well they work, I put (3) 8lb bags of ice in my 65 qt on Monday morning to prepare for the storm...right now i have about 1/3 water and 2/3 solid ice...just went and checked. Its been in the back of my truck the whole time.
btw i got both of mine wholesale and they were still stupid expensive...No doubt they are bad ass though

anyone ever tried to bulid their own? I figure a box built from 1/2" coosa, line with 1" foam, line with coosa, a similarly constructed lid, fiberglass the whole thing.
