Maxis is about 1400, Versa about 1400 and SX3 about 1100....

Picked up a maxus last year to replace a worn out Gold. Love it. No issues other than the trigger is lighter than my Gold and I was double tapping the first few times I shot it. Also it is a good bit lighter and a little thinner than the gold.

Benelli rocks, shoots wet, shoots dirty, always shoots. those gas guns you got to keep clean. Do not know anybody that wore a benelli out EVER.

You give a benelli to a few of the guys on this website and tell them to wear it out and they will bring it back to you in pieces.....its happen before.

Nothing breaks in the closet. In the field they all will eventually come to their demise.

I own none of the above so i am not biased whatsoever but 3 of my hunting partners had the Maxus and 2 of them traded them for Benellis and the 3rd shoots a 1187 now because hes afraid of his Maxus failing in the field( it has several times). 2 of the guns were sent back twice due to not working properly..maybe the newer Maxus's have been fixed idk, im sure plenty of people have properly working Brownings. Personally i would go with a Benelli though.

I have a maxus and a sbe 2, like them both, usually use the sbe2 more because it jus seems to fit me better but the maxus has a Lot less recoil I don't care what all their internet graphs and charts show

I didnt include the benelli cause i think they are overpriced!!! I actually shot 3 boxes last friday at some skeets...

For some reason it was a bitch to get shells in the magazine. seemed almost cheap and not well put together...

Now i would take one if given to me,,but it im buying they would have to a lot cheaper.....just dont seem on the same level as the others....

I've heard good things about the Maxus.

As Giga said above, the new A5 is supposed to be badass also.

If it were me, I'd look at the Brownings.

The Benelli SBE2 is an AWESOME gun as well and around the same price I believe.

just an FYI,,,I been testing an 11-87 for a while now! Going on its 3rd season and i never did anything but spray it with WD-40. So i thinks a good gun for the price....

just have a sale for it and want a camo gun....

I've been shooting a Benelli Nova for the last 9 years and its never given up on me, they got my vote, but i did shoot an SX3 last year just so happened to be a guy on here and now i'm still trying to buy it from him.

I am fixing to do a trigger job to mine and see if that helps any, Robert4wd on here just did a trigger job to his new Benelli and loves it

I've seen that happen a few times.

Each time though something was in the barrel.

Beretta makes an excellent shotgun, have you checked those out....franchi's i-12 is great as well and is priced lower than the ones you mentioned, it has actually been my duck gun of choice for the past 3 years.

You can go buy a stoegar 3500 for $600 and I think it's the best buy for the money, but I'm not made of money like all y'all lmao!

SX3 great gun had my 3 years now love it.Sold my SBE2 cause just had to many problems running 3.5s though it.Had to be just a bad gun cause a lot if my friends run them and have had no problems.Love the SX3

I have the stoeger 3000 and have hunted it for 3 years now with no problems. Dropped it in the pond one day and picked it right up and shot 3 rounds. Just like a beneli. They have my vote

im getting the beretta a400 w ko.......looking forward to 60-70% less felt recoil.

oh yea and as for my SX3:
the first season i had both guns i told myself (and my buddies) that I still had a use for both guns and I would rotate them in and out...well after a year or so I found myself leaving the SX3 at home. Probably havent shot it in over a year. If i didnt have personal policy agains selling guns I would offer to sell it to you, cuz i have no use for it anymore. Good back up gun i suppose.

Those A-5's are tough. I'll be hunting with one this season! My buddy has hunted with his for almost 3 seasons of hell and it's still Rollin. Can't say I don't love these guns.

Are the a5 models y'all using the old or new version?
