 The Hammer
Has anyone tried the new prop from Mudbuddy made for the sport-v and sport-h? They say your engine has to turn at least 4000 rpm's. I was thinking about trying one, but I only get about 3750 to 3800 in the water. Would it be safe to try to get 4000 rpm's with a 31 vanguard in the water?

Could anyone tell me if it would be safe to try to get 4000 rpm's out of my 31 vanguard in water?

 Re: The Hammer
Ask Duckdiver. He put had the "Hammer" on his motor all weekend. From what i could tell running next to him. Better hole shot, might have lost some top end, but carries a load really well.
Your motor will need some big nuts to turn it though. Dont put it on a stock motor.

 Re: The Hammer
The prop helped my rig all around for performance. I was turning 4800-5000 before, and now 4450 to 4550 with the hammer with 2 ta 3 guys and hunting gear.

 Re: The Hammer
Thanks, I guess I'm not turning enough rpm's to even think about it, if I ever decide to do some mods to my engine I'll give it a try then.

 Re: The Hammer
How do you guys think a stock BD4500 with duals will handle one? Only running little over 4,000 now

 Re: The Hammer
It wouldn't hurt to try. Stock BD4500 is 38 top and 48 bottom. If you get one and can't turn it like you want to, just change your bottom gear to a 49 or 50. This will give you more RPM to turn the prop.
