 Rev limiters?
What is the top out rpm on the rev limiter that is coming with my Mikuni kit? Somebody tell me about these things.

 Re: Rev limiters?
23hp or 35hp? If 35 then is it CDI?
23 is around 4300 - 4600
Not sure on the old CDI 35's. The CDI motors don't have a rev limiter, they have coils and you shouldn't get a rev limiter with the carb kit.

 Re: Rev limiters?
II'm assuming you just mis said this. All the motors have coils, but the newer ones are cdi ignition and don't use the same rev limiter included in the BPS kits for the non cdi motors.

 Re: Rev limiters?
Superfly. There are 3 different limiters for the Mikuni kit. 4300, 4700 and 5100. You were supposed to make a decision based off your mods which one you need.

My motor is not a CDI so I need it.

 Re: Rev limiters?
I run both 4570 and 5100 have them wired through a toggle. 4570 when cruising and 5100 when someone passes me! lol
