 Trolling motor question
I see a lot of you guys running the minn Kota 55 lb motors but was wondering if anyone ran the 45? I'm up in northwest AR I'm mostly fishing coves and river arms not much big water. My boat is an 1850, any advice? I can get a 45 for 250 vs a 55 for 500. Just wondering if I need the big one.

 Re: Trolling motor question
I think u will be fine with a 45. I ran a 45 motorguide on a 17/48 and a 18.5/50 and it pulled both pretty descent.

 Re: Trolling motor question
if your buying new bass pro runs a special pretty often called 6Pay. orders over $125 paid with credit card are split into 6 interest free payments over 6 months. i did this when i got mine and its nice being able to pay over the 6 months instead of dropping a G on a trolling motor at once.. they usually post it on the main page when its running.

 Re: Trolling motor question
Get the 55!!! The 45 is a lot weaker! Been there done tht! The 55 will pull u through grass and shallow water and the 45 is good only in clean water. I just use my 80 off my bay boat now...

 Re: Trolling motor question
Go for the 55. I'm running a 45 on my 1442. Check out Amazon.com. you can find some good deals there.
