If you could do it over, what would you change on your boat?
First post. Hello.
Going to order a GT Extreme in the near future (hopefully). Instead of asking what you all love about your boat......if you could change a few things on your boat what would do?
Likewise, if there was an option you didn't get that you should have or just something you really want let me know.
Don't want to order the boat and feel like I've missed something after dropping lots of money.

Re: If you could do it over, what would you change on your b
I would go with a custom haul like a Uncle J or one along those lines so I could have more input on what I want in the boat an what I don't want.

Cat walks, big ones! Winch in the front, hunt deck, welded floor, and longer like 18 or 19 foot

Only thing I would have done different is put dual modded GTR's instead of one. And dual consoles.

Re: If you could do it over, what would you change on your b
A thought for keeping decoys out of the way, a lot of os use texas rigged dekes. This year I'm thinking about taking 4 3/16 diameter rods and bending a loop in one end. A couple of hole in the catwalk then slip these poles in with the loop up angled just over the edge of the boat. The clip you carabiners to the "eye" and your dukes should dangle right at th tunnel. One good zip tie should keep em for flying all over the place. You could store em like that and then when you get ready to hunt just stab the poles into the receivers in the catwalks and go!

Re: If you could do it over, what would you change on your b
Put the gas tank in the hunt deck and a small rear platform to tuck the battery, bilge pump under. The one thing I don't like is getting in/out of the boat onto the hunt deck with the blind up for me and the dog. The battery box is right where I'd like to step.
Oh, yeah, and I would have bit the bullet and have them install the hydro-turf.
Other than that, nothing. 1754 Gator Trax Hybrid hunt deck (two gun boxes, one driver's, no extended front deck, front and rear grab rails, tall transom).

Like Jimmy said. Enjoyed all three previous boats, learning all the time. Hey, there were only LT's in the 80's and I am still using one and don't need an SD with a big block and umpteen accessories and mods. My second install was a beer holder so you get my priorities. I like stickers, got them on my boat and my truck, my boat is not camoed and I do fine.

I would have gone with a 2060 Duals and built how I wanted it to be built!
Also wouldn't have hooked up with some ladies in Thai land, japan, Vegas, South africa, Russia, Kosavo, Brazil,, camboita, and a few other places. Some present aren't worth having!!

I'd would have 2" receiver in the front, a spud pole holder on each of the 4 corners, and a 1/8" bottom instead of a 3/16".
