I know the motor boat combo I have is not the best.
My 1648 with 1 person 230lb will run 23. But as soon as I add another guy, dog and decoys or run just 3 guys, boat will only run 8-10 mph. I'm told longer boat would greatly benefit my performance. What type of boat is anyone running with a 27prodrive? I want to hunt 3 guys and gear and was hoping on getting 18-20. I've always ran a 1542 with 24 longtail with speeds with load at 15mph.

I run a 1744 with a 25 GTR .. I know completely different motors but 3 people full hunt load I was rolling 21 bumping 22

I run a 27 on a 1548 with pods and get 20 on phone gps with 3 people and gear. I weigh 155 and the others are about 165 and 140. I would expect to be a little faster but not that much. maybe try moving weight around

I run a 17x44 Uncle J with 3/16" bottom and 2009 27hp prodrive. I am a big guy (280). Me an light load run 22 deep water 24 in shallow. I put 1 other person (150) and guns and run 16 deep water and 20 in shallow. Wish I had more oomph. Much more than that and it wont plane

I get about 24-26 with two men and gear and I have a 1650D w/ a 27 mud buddy

I'm running a 15-48 G-3 with a 23hp surface drive I run around 23-24 alone and 20-22 with 1 more guy and gear. Move weight around till you find the sweet spot. As for running 3 guys mine won't get on plane to small of motor. Good luck

I've got a 1548 Weldbilt with a 2012 Prodrive 27hp, over 150 hours. Typically, I can run 14-16 mph with three guys and gear if you can find the sweet spot, which requires my guys hopping from different spots of the boat. When I first got my boat, it would run a bit faster, especially with a load but after all the beatings the bottom of the boat has taken, it has lost speed. Started off running 24-25 mph by myself but now I am topping out at 21mph by myself. After seeing this, I will be switching to a longer thicker slick bottom boat.

I've got a 1648 tracker piece of chit! With a 23 slow devil surface drive.. By myself 23 low 25 high deep water. Shallow water 25 all day long. 2 people and hunting load 21-22. 3 people 20-21. 4 people 15mph. All speeds with hunting loads, bow mount trolling motor. 2 batteries. I have mikuni carb kit and single crossover. Prop is worn 1/2 inch. Next year I will get bigger boat and bigger engine.
