Motor/prop has right at 50 hours. 23 mini lite. Its supposed to have a big blade on it but its not measuring up. Is it possible that they put the 11x10 on there or could it have worn down this much???? Haven't really been in any sand. The big blade is like 12.25x10. I feel like my motor has more to offer and the prop is where I'm looking for the added performance. I've never played with props on these motors before so just looking for some guidance.

How many hours u have on it and are your rpms higher now then it was new?

BTW even though u think its just mud there is still fine sand mixed in there that will gradually eat up a prop. It doesn't have to be hard packed sand.

50 hours, and I haven't noticed to much change in RPMs. Most of the hours were on my Triton. I probably only have about 15 hours on the motor on my new hull. I want to say I was running between 4500 to 4750 when it was on my Triton but here lately I'm noticing around 4300 to maybe 4400

Sound like a lot if rpms for a 23. Any work done to the motor.

i cant see that little motor turning a 12.25 prop jmo
u may have worn just the cup off and having to trim down to make it grab i cant see u loosing an inch of prop in 50 hours on a mb prop

It says on the web that they come with the big blade. I dunno. Seems like I have a lot of ware or they put the wrong prop on it.

I always thought that the minis came with a 11" and the 23 Sports had a big blade.

Seems like I remember someone saying a Big blade wont clear the mini's cavitation plate.

Look close at the hub. Mine is stamped with size

Well AirFido you are correct. At a closer glance it is stamped 11x10. But MB advertises the big blade on the web and its showing it with the cav plate.

I can't see a stock 23 coming with a big blade. A stock 35 will only spin it to around 4300. You call MB to ask about this yet?

After mods, you should be able to spin it. Order one and give it a shot.

I am a MB owner, but their site and it's content is a hot mess.

Haven't called them yet. I'm just toying with the idea of a custom prop or trying something different

I had an un modded 27 Kohler mini light , got tired of the little prop so I ordered the bigger one was slower at first but with a little wear worked great ... My buddy is using my worn big Gtr prop for his little 25 and got his best speeds out of the bigger worn prop

I'm gonna take another measurement to see if I can clear the big blade. I'm thinking with my mods I might can turn it.

They gear the 23's down pretty good to sling a big blade, I don't know how stout your motor is but I'm willing to bet the stock setup gear for a 11x10 won't sling it

My 23 la special came with a bb on it. I wore it out and put a 12x12 Hopkins on it and ran good. Don't know if there's any difference in the mini lite and la special gear ratio though.
