I've had several atv's/utv's in the past and currently. I have always put highlifter outlaws 29.5-10-12 on the front and 29.5-12-12 on the rear.

I have a 2013 honda 500. I have it snorkled, 2" shackel lift, and 1" highlifter springs. I want to put the same tire set up that i've used in the past but with or without spacers in the rear I think I will have to trim the fenders and I dont want to.

So... the QUESTION is: what is the main preformance diffrence between putting 29.5-10-12's on the rear also. It seems most guys with a similar bike run skinnys on the rear. I'd rather do the 29.5-12-12's on the rear but dont want to add more lift and dont want to cut the plastics.

The front tires make a rutt for u to drive threw when the back tires come threw they have to make another path it puts more work on bike. Others may not agree but I have rode 30 silverbacks an 31 outlaws both skinny an fats an found that the skinnies are better they cut threw shit an they are lil lighter. An jus looks stupid when people go skinny fat

haha maybe better i sold it, i liked mine. i have a ranger and wanted a 4 wheeler too. but didnt have the funds to have 25k wrapped up in atv's so got this 500 for 5k.

so the can am has 2" spacers front and rear?

Honda is a good bike. They will run forever if u take care of them. That was my first bike jus wanted to move up in the game an have more power. Rode my buddy's 1000 other day an that thing is a beast but it also cost as much as a few vehicles

I've ran all combinations of skinny wides on many bikes and I perfer

I run 28" outlaws skinnys all the way around on a rubicon.

I have 28's on my. 500 .. Skinny wide ..

Wides seem to make your bike float. When you float you have a hard time to control it. I like to stay on the bottom.

I always run skinnies on my bikes. I had a 08 500 foreman with 28" outlaw skinnies. I bought my wife a 420 and went wide on the back and the bike is always in a bind. I put 29.5 OL2's on my 650 xmr. I vote skinnies. And I wouldn't go no bigger than 28" on a 500 foreman. Any bigger and u are asking for it. Lol

Wrecking the rear diff for one.

My brother had a 500 with 29.5's rear diff was always fucked up, axles always broke. It would just wreak havoc on the 500

Close attention not to put the bike In a situation to be breaking above mentioned things. I have a 650 xmr and I can ruin a belt in 30 seconds if I'm not careful 160 bucks down the drain. Don't get me wrong I loved my Hondas. They are reliable. They just don't have the get up and go the v twin bikes do.

I wouldn't get rid of that ranger those things are beasts.

how come you guys don't run tracks on your machines - I know they cut down speed and turning radius but going over the chit is easier than going thru it?
