 pics of shimmed motors
Just wondering if any of you guys have any pics of how you shimmed your motors on the transom. I have a excel and I'm going to need to add some shims to the top of the transom for the height and shims to the back of the transom for the right angle. Any pics or advice on shimming is appreciated. New Gtr35L should be here any day.

What you talkin bout Willis.
My buddy has an 1852 Excel hunt deck that runs fine and has the range of trim to be able to run flat. As long as your transom height is correct you should have no problems other than being under powered with the size of boat. Excels aren't speed demons they got a lot of boxes and added weight to bog them down.

 Re: pics of shimmed motors
My buddy has a 35 HD with stage 1 and doesn't have any problems I've rode in it plenty of times but never really drove it wideopen but it doesn't have any problems. With angle I would say its will work for ya. We were running upper 20's this weekend fishing you shouldn't have to change a thing

Puddler, that's a MudBuddy. Excels are made with MudBuddy in mind. He's asking about a GTR, which is optimized with a slightly different height and angle in mind.
