So back on topic, I'm really liking the things y'all are doing with these motors. Are all you guys running the same can or are there a couple different grinds y'all have tried?

Mine is different from Lee's and a 3rd is I the works now. With all of us kinda splitting the cost on the trail cams, it helps out. So we will have 3 grinds to look at and get a better idea of what we will need. One thing I noticed this pass weekend was valve float. My springs are not shimmed. We wanted to see what and when it would do it. Motor pulls hard when hammered : 4000, 4180, 4360, 4520,4680, 4720, 4760 and that's when mine starts to float. Could be doing it a lil early but it's pulling really strong until that. So that's another thing. Once we figure out the springs, we will really be able to spin it up. But 33.2 at 4760 isn't shabby.

Tried my "special recipe" cam this weekend from Isky. Ran it late Saturday after checking all the clearances to the tune of 30 mph @ 4200 with 13 pitch prop. Folks if anybody is ever in the market for a custom "weld up regrind" cam Tim Isky at Small Engine Cams is "THE MAN"!!! Exceptional quality work and great CS. Long story short I'm 110% happy with it. My goal all along has been to step the barge easily when loaded and maintain +/- 30 mph. It stepped so hard with the 13p that I decided to try the 14p again. All I can say is that's a BAAADDDD dude right there! Lost a mile an hour on top with the 14 so I'll tweak it some but the hole shot is STOOPID! Just for chits and giggles I'm gonna get another one built to push the power curve more towards 4500 rpm as that's where I was aiming with this grind. Phuck all this typing here's some pics...
