aka, just what exactly is your agenda here? You and a very small few whine bags on the odd lawn site hate the engine however thousands upon thousands of professionals rely on them daily without as much as a backfire. We've all heard your ignorant opinion which as always flip flops like the wind. If your having issues with them on your equipment I can promise you that you need to reevaluate your maintenance prowess. I would appreciate any "first hand" knowledge you may contribute however minor or major of any issues you have experienced throughout your experience running them. BTW I've been an equipment man all my life and now work where one of our divisions runs only Kawi engines in the Deere ZTR's (a fleet of 40 of 'em) without any issues. I've heard your brand of bullshot for years about this or that and once again you prove that you truly are a "special" individual. Maybe your fooling some of the sprouts on this site but that's bout all except for the entertainment value your a piece of shit. Folks say your different in person but that's just an act, your afraid they'll beat the shot out of you if you run your dik sucker to their face. Having read post after ignorant post from you I'm thoroughly convinced you couldn't build a birdhouse out of a gourd. Fuck off.

X2, well put. Sad thing is that it's not just this thread. He fucks them all up with nonsense. He keeps mentioning the camshaft failures. Then we change the weakest link. I'm sure there might be something else, a pushrod, stock valves, something. But at least were trying to come up with something new. To me the commercial mower market must know something. Because every major brand is running a Kawasaki. How many failures of different things happened with the briggs? And wtf did you do, fix the weakest link. Then Move on to the next. But guess what you crayon eating mutherfucker, you still don't have it right because the briggs block design sucks. People all over are still dealing with case leaks. I don't care if it's at 25 hours or at 250 hours, your still having to pull the block, clutch and such to change a $60 gasket. It's a PITA. To me alone, if I never have to deal with the case leak, that alone was the biggest selling point me. Not everyone on this site is 100% interested in how fast it goes. It doesn't matter how fast it is if you can't even haul who around. To me the ideal motor, whether briggs, Kawi, Honda, rotax whatever, would be able to run decent speeds but haul anything I want with no effects. Thats the biggest difference. No speed changes when loaded or unloaded.

In case it was missed the stock valve springs float at/around 4700, looking into shims and/or stronger springs.

Post Re: Kawi FXT00V "Let the good times roll"
This happens last weekend when I was running with all that boom.

Ok guys, another lil update. I put on my worn prop, approx 11-5/8. I wanted to do a comparison of the Kawi to my briggs. My stage 2 briggs would spin this sucker to the moon. I wanted to see if the Kawi would do the same. Took off like a rocket, 4000, 4190, 4400, 4580, 4700, 4760. Then it fell off. This is the same rpm's that my new prop fell off at. I hit valve float. It was the exact same rpm's that my new prop hit. The only difference was my new prop at 4760 was 32.8-33.2. The speed with the old was 30.2. We have talked to the cam guy and he has given us the spring rate needed for his grind. I'm gonna add a .030" shim to the springs to get me there and retry. Were also looking for a certain weight spring so that we won't have to put shims. The motor is pulls very hard all the way to 4700, then falls flat. You can clearly hear it. Another trial and error step, but it's fun learning the limits and trying to think outside the box.

I missed all the drama in this thread because I thought it was about a 4 wheeler from the title. AKA can pass out drunk standing up. Did y'all know that? Any man that can do that has some credibility, I think AKA's personality does not translate well to text, hence, some confuse his trying to help and educate about these motors with arrogance. He just struggles with explaining things in a neutral way.

Now, I need my grass cut at the camp. Send crew, AKA.

Yep. Very good speed. The main difference is the stock cam lobes of the Kawi are better than the briggs. So with only a carb and exhaust it will roll out.

dude do you need to borrow a gps??? there is no 18x60 on the planet that will run 30 with a stock motor. especially on a prodrive. you have lost it. your accountablitly if you ever had any on here is out the window. Stock briggs.
what do you do jump it off take the battery out, put a powerade bottle for a fuel tank. the hull must weight 100lbs

There r quite a few on here running those speeds with bone stock gtr. By the way I wouldn't own a prodrive but I did build one the other day for a guy on a 1860 pro drive boat running 34mph
