These kawasaki engines are strong running 30 mph with carb and exhaust I will video soon tryed to video it today but glare from sun was making it impossible definantly running good now that carb is almost dialed in perfect was running 28/29 with 167.5 now running 30 with 160 main may try 157.5 see what it does

Just an FYI if anyone is curious. The Kawasaki FX921 and 1000 will soon be 31/35 hp ratings from what I was told. I was also told the carb was different on the 921 so a little less power.

After looking at the carb, it's not different it simply has a throttle stop only allowing the throttle to open 3/4 full. You can easily grind the tab down and get the same engine as the FX1000

Plus, if you plan on adding the mikuni and such and do away with the stock carb, the 921 is about $200-$300 cheaper than the FX1000.

Ok fellas, the new valve springs are in and will be installed hopefully this weekend. This should allow me to pull pass 4740-4760 and see what kind of power this thing still has left on the table. Depending on the outcome, we'll move on to the next bottleneck.

Once the testing gets done on these, would you be willing to go this route on your next project?
