Need some opinions i just ordered the whole set up new 25 gtr on a 1648 gator tail boat with a drop deck for the back wanted to see how it runs speed, and hole shot and shallow water.

No offense but you didn't have a conversation about these things with the person you placed the order with?

It should run just fine, you proly wont find to many people with that combo since they just came out with the 48" bottom not long ago. Theres a few people on here with 25 GTR on a 16x46 and the do just fine. My buddy has his on a custom 16x42 and it does really well, 48" is really the perfect width for the 25 IMO.

Don't know about the 48, but with the 46, it runs good enough for me. I mostly hunt alone. My hunting load speeds with gear and boat blind is around 23-25mph in about 3-4 foot of water. I have gotten in a shallow marsh before and it I can pick up 1.5-2mph more. 2 people and hunting load, I run 20-22mph. Best Ive seen with an empty boat in all the right conditions was 27.8 bumping 28. I think the 48 will do you a lot of good.
