 Re: EFI Band wagon
I should be able to post up some results of a good comparison soon.
I have an 18x48 extreme with 35gtr with Mikuni and exhaust. The other is the identical setup but with efi.

 Re: EFI Band wagon
If they can figure out how to make a set of heads work, that E5 setup will be a bad mother fucker. I would imagine a good set of heads and the right cam with direct port injection and a decent exhaust would be a bad bitch. Only problem is it's prolly gonna cost 6500$ from STT and his crew

 Re: EFI Band wagon
With heads, camshaft, efi, and gutted exhaust. It needs to be a 32 mph setup on the slightly heavier custom hulls, and even faster on the PD boats.
The last boat I did that setup it was a 33 mph deep water boat. Gen 2 lower unit. On a 18x54 Brother hull, 3/16 bottom, catwalks, 5.5 foot front deck, and 7' rod box. Needless to say she was no lightweight.
Those mods on a GTR and one of those lightweight 18x46 boats would absolutely fly.

 Re: EFI Band wagon
The band wagon can mean many things to many people, it has always fostered an environment where new ideas and new ways of thinking are not only encouraged but promoted. All this without the baggage and negativity of some other threads or the elitist attitude adopted by other discussion forums. It has always welcomed everyone and has attempted to provide everyone with the entrainment that we all so richly deserve. Sometimes at the expensive of the detractors, but that has been self-inflicted by them.
Ladies and gentlemen of MM nation, the time has come for the next episode of growth in the MM community. One can choose to close their eyes to the progress being made or embrace the transformation. As free men, the choice is yours and yours alone – choose wisely. By carefully selecting to board the band wagon, you are among the select few who desire the most out of their chosen MM.
Just by opening and reading this thread of your own free will, you know the journey has been a special one to this point and something big is happening. The ranks of the critics are shrinking rapidly my friends and they are starting to disparage. Cynicism is now being replaced with acceptance and with your new found courage you too can become part of this movement. Don’t despair my carbureted friends, we will always cherish the memories you have provided. Who could ever forget the choke, half-choke, choke again dance as we attempted to warm our engines up at that frozen landing?
welcome aboard

 Re: EFI Band wagon
We have all been many things as we make our journeys thru life, I too have been many things. The journey takes most of us to different places where we have to be different people. Labeling is so one dimensional, I have shunned labels and the stigma attached to them. The band wagon offers the same to all, it doesn’t have to be all duckies and bunnies all the time – then again no we can have it all.
Yes, I know it's not much but it's the best I can do and my gift to MMT is the band wagon and all the hope it brings. There hasn’t been any real hippies ‘round here since the Jurassic Period, so we have nothing to fear from them. The band wagon will continue to pick up speed and passengers as the journey begins to play out, don’t be left behind – climb aboard there is always room for more.

If the efi kit is truely that great, then the efi on my torque monster Kawi stage 2 with a gen 2 lower could enter the Budweiser races.

Or at least power the Budweiser Beer Wagon – by popular demand the band wagon will always post in rambling dissertation manifesto style, winter is OVER here!

 Re: EFI Band wagon
But if it is truely a closed loop system, it's simply welding bungs in my intake, bung in exhaust and go with it. I made the mikuni adapter for the Kawi intake so I could make one for the throttle body. It's just a little high on the price for me to go "mess" with.

 Re: EFI Band wagon
I'm at a point where I have to make a decision as far as fuel delivery. The bottom line is money and not just a little either so, unless the bandwagon offers sponsorship or financial help (I am the wrong color to receive any from our government ) I will be purchasing a mikuni instead of EFI. Goodbye bandwagon love Hotsauce

 Re: EFI Band wagon
the band wagon is having a good run - it can only offer hope and redemption for those that embrace the core values we all strive for, optimal performance and efficiency from their chosen MM.
the band wagon will never turn it's back on our fellow carbureted comrades and only wishes the best to anyone in their future endeavor's. it is all in good fun we laugh we cry and we share in each others victories and feel the agony of our defeats, all thru the miracle of MMT.com.
so it's not goodbye band wagon, it's more like "my road has led me down another path" a path that is not shared by the band wagon but not that far from the band wagon that you still cannot partake in the camaraderie that is the band wagon
