The picture don't lie. Bad weld, no penetration. Probably broke first, then ripped other side. Either way, bad weld. Zero doubt.

That being said, I like the repose from prodigy and new, rugged design. Fixed the shit, then improved it. I would buy from him and find it hard to believe hat he is anything but professional and good to work with.

I offered to drive it to him myself, he insisted on picking it up. That and I offered to pick it up. He insisted on bringing it back. The Kool Aid drinkers are out in full force. I used to drink it to, started getting a bad stomach so I had to lay off it.

Lol, yeah he picked it up brought it back and now I still have a dry box taking on water and still have bare metal showing after they painted it for the second time. Yeah the nerve of me to pay 23,000 dollars for a boat and exspect for it to be right. I should be ashamed of myself.

Take it hunting with us once or twice, have a beer , forget about small shit and have fun with it. Life is short. 23g is chump change in the long haul. If your worried about money, never buy a new boat. They lose value to quick. Buy a used one and don't worry about minor shit.

On the dry box.... Find the leak, most likely in Rivets on hinge, and silicon possible holes. Most dry boxes aren't truly dry from the shop. Should be, but never are. Don't sweat it, silicon it.

Sounds like a good plan. I think cold beer could solve the worlds problems.

Post Re: My experience with Prodigy Boats
I had prodigy build my boat. This was my first mud boat and I really didn't know exactly what I wanted. Chad spent several hours over 4 or 5 phone calls helping me decide what I wanted. After he started my build I changed my mind a few times and received new invoices each time. I do have some paint missing but it was all self inflicted damage. I never called or text him when he didn't get back with me. Sorry you have had a bad experience but I feel like you are the minority here.

Actually the issue is you have to be very careful using etching primer. If the primer is too thick paint won't stick correctly. We wash, da, and wipe every boat clean prior to paint..
