Extra Fuel??
How much fuel do you guys typically burn on this ride. I have a nine gallon tank in my boat, but If needed I can bring more.

Re: Extra Fuel??
I run a six gallon tank and have never run out, but that is not running from the launch all the way up the river. I usually pull my boat out and launch under the I-10 bridge in the river for the afternoon.
I'm going to bring a few extra gallons, but I would think you would be fine with a 9 gallon.

Re: Extra Fuel??
Yeah that one by the grass between the two drive ways is bad. I may run over to the bridge and launch to just depends on how im looking on gas and how much that motor is whipping my ass

Extra Fuel??
The reason I'm going to Texas is to ride in the boat. Not a jeep. That center console is a Cadillac too. Lol

From hugo to trinity is quite the ride. Especially with the south wind we're going to have...

Re: Extra Fuel??
I've made that run, it's not too bad. Should be damn near enjoyable behind a console lol

Re: Extra Fuel??
Its not bad on a calm day, i ran it yesterday and it took about 45 minutes to get from hugo to the locks. South wind was blowing staighr up the lake and there was no way around it. Its another good 25-30 minutes from the locks to miller. Its gonna be even longer too if we gotta go around. Supposedly thd pass iz blocked off past miller, if i have time and its not raining i'll try and get out and clear it. No promises though

Re: Extra Fuel??
Water height hasn't crested yet, and with the south wind it will likely still be well above normal on Saturday on trinity side. Aldo we have rain predicted for tomorrow.

Re: Extra Fuel??
Like I said in the other thread, you could probably ride over it if the water stays this high and you get a running start. But you don't don't DON'T want to get hung up between them.
