The middle seat on the rear deck is actually a removable casting platform that can be used up on the bow, or for whatever.

Gonna try and get it down to Sport Trail this week so they can get started on the trailer for it.

Still gotta build some rails for bow fishing lights. Also working up a price for a removable deck that will fit between the rod boxes, so it would be decked over from the bow to the end of the boxes for bow fishing.

Nice, purpose built design.

I want to pick your brain on the drainage system...I see the single, centered, normal sized, rear drain hole. How is the main floor draining, is it separated from the rear hunt deck, and can you get to all the crude that will gather? What are your thoughts of a larger clean out drain for the main like running a 2" tube level with the main floor straight out the back as a way to wash out the debris?

I've seen a few nice rigs that ended up with a "catch basin" that you can't get to real easy and becomes a PIA after bowfishing, etc.. just curious and throwing it out there.

Very nice boat. What you going to push it with? Better have plenty of power because thats alot of boat. Like all the pictures, post some more as you get more done.

The floor is a true sealed full double bottom. It has a 12" x 12" sump right at the center rear. Single standard drain plug, and drain plugs as well for the double bottom, should it ever need to be drained.
I gave the guy a few different ways we could go on the drain plug route and this is what he wanted. He did not want mutiple drain plugs in the boat, and did not like the idea of the over sized drains, as he wanted to be able to put his hands on spare plugs at any local marina. I've built a bunch of outboard boats this way, and have the same set up in my crawfish skiff, and it works pretty well, with most all the trash and junk ending up in the sump. It does create the potential for a possible hard spot and small hook to form right at the transom, and I explained this to the guy, but he was fine with it, so this is what we went with.

He's actually going to talk with Gatortail today about power options. I know a fellow that has a pretty simular hull, maybe a little lighter, but pretty loaded out that runs solid 27 with a 35 GTR with a stage one. He's looking into that or going with the new 37 EFI. I told him to see what GT had to say about it. He's already asked me a few times how much it will cost him and how long it would take me to set the transom up for twins, but I don't think it will come to that.

10-4. I believe can see the sump area welded in now right there at the transom. I would personally have a 2" clean out drain with a screw cap but whatever floats his boat, right?

He'll be ok fishing with a single but depending on how much more weight is added and especially where it's added, he'll will be pushing it bow fishing on a single.

That sump is not bad at all. I figured it was a bit deeper. Only thing I can see is stuff getting over and behind the two rear dry boxes. Other than that, looks alright. He's planning on plugging to two on the sides unless needed, right?

The thing I like ab capt JJ, he actually knows how to make good lookin welds. That's a skill many "welders" lack

The guy I built this boat for finally got it painted and the motor hung on it. He brought it back to me to have a few last minute changes done for some new rigging he wants to add before he finally brings it back to the painter to have the motor painted, and the turf put in the boat. He had another welder add the bow rails to it after I built it.

Not sure how its going to move out with the 37 EFI GTR but should find out soon enough.
