So your wife texts you a grocery shopping list to complete on your way home. What do you do, wonder aimlessly about every isle looking for stuff. Read the category signs hanging from each isle? F...k no. Do what I just did at Albertsons. Go to the customer service desk and ask on what isle each of my 30 items was on, which side and how far up. I tied up the store manager and 2 of his clerks just figuring what isles the products were on. One would think they'd know this already or have an isle legend to refer to. To make things even easier for me I told them I couldn't find any of the items and asked them to verify the isle numbers and while they were at it bring the items to me at customer service. One by one came 30 items to me and in my cart....like a boss.

I refuse to walk around trying to find shit. Make it easier for customers to find stuff or I'll do this every time.

My wife would never text me with a shopping list for the grocery store. She knows better. I wouldn't text her to get me a new truck when she was out. These things just don't work. Dean needs to totally screw up her shopping detail and that would be it...she'd never ask again.

Now granted i don't do the big full blown list because she knows I wouldn't get the exact brand she wants, but I go get some stuff here in there for her. Maybe that's why I do what i do with no bitching. I even get to see a few soccer moms while there also.

What if everyone took your advise? There are 40,000 supermarkets in the United States. Let's say you took 1/2 hour from 2 employees. 2x30 minutes = 1 hour. They average 200 costumers per day which = 200 hours per store each day. The employees probably average around $12 per hour. This is $2,400 per store per day. 40,000x $2,400= $96 million dollars per day($35 billion a year) of unproductive labor. Have you ever thought of going after your true calling of a financial advisor?

Does anyone else ever get to thinking that we are using faster more powerful computers than our parents could have dreamt of a few short years ago to globally connect people up with the common interest of owning and operating various types of shallow water drives propelled by air cooled lawnmower engines, and that of this great stuff, here we are arguing about buying groceries calling grown men names and whatever else we can drag up? Walmart has online shopping and if you order more than $50 the shipping is free. It's here the next day usually.
It beats the hell out of going to the Walmart.

A manager that will waste employees' time putting together a full shopping list like that must not know much about marketing. I've never studied marketing in my life, but I do know a a little something called impulse shopping, buying something not on their shopping list. By doing a quick internet search you can find that anywhere from 60-90% of shoppers, depending on the retail outlet, buy on impulse. Stores make roughly 40% of their money from impulse shopping. This equates roughly to $4.2 trillion dollars in the last quarter of 2010 in the U.S. This does include internet purchases.

If I went grocery shopping the cart would be full of impulse buys and the list would be hit or miss. Chips, dip, cookies, sodas, more snacks, bacon, thick bacon, smoked bacon, chicken wings, pizza....comfort food. When I returned home with my goods, the little misses would be sh*tting mad.

You guys have to remember that these things are logically arrange so that someone with 80% off the Avearge IQ can find their items.

So obviously, most Dems don't fall in that range. But how much stuff can they really buy anyway.

As far as a boss. A true boss would take the list his wife gave him and immediately delegate it to others, and then be called when it is complete and ready for delivery or pickup. No true boss would just stand there and do nothing while he waits .

As far as helping the wife... I believe in "pay it forward". It has worked for my 30 year marriage. Want to be treated great. Treat her that way first.
