 need some advice
ok, so i have a gt 1754 35gtr with a folding rear deck. i hunted the opening in LA and wasnt happy with the speeds i was getting. with three people blind and about 2 dozen decoys i was running 13-15 mph. (i know, slow as...). my prop is pretty skinny from running in silt and wanted to know if any one could point in the right direction as to which prop or props i should look into, which size, etc. top end i was pushing about 4000 rpms but the boat was not planing out. not to sure if this could be more so a weight issue or more of a prop issue. any advice or comment is helpful. thanks.

 Re: need some advice
Its a prop issue, that many rpms and no speed. Get a new prop and try it out

 Re: need some advice
Big blade (mud buddy) or a gator tail 2 or 3 blade (10p). They'll all work.

 Re: need some advice
Thanks, I appreciate it. I talked to BPS about the BB and think I'm gonna try their prop. I've heard the GT stock props (power tech) are not as hard... Therefore is supposed to last longer. I know going through sand will make that not matter. Anyone know if that's true or not? That the BB is harder or thicker than the stock GT prop.

 Re: need some advice
If you constantly run sand/clay, and have some mods on your motor, hammer prop would be your best bet. It is a slower prop, but if you have the power to turn it, it will tote a load

 Re: need some advice
I have a stock 35 on GT 1860 Extreme. I have a new BB and a worn (11 3/4 or less) powertec both 10P. With a load of 3 guys, beavertail blind and deeks, I cannot get on plane with the BB @3900 RPM. It pushes water like no other. I moved people/gear around and still couldn't get it on plane. I put the worn GT prop back on and it runs like a scraped ape. It seems like the BB is a bit thicker than the powertec, but it could be that mine is that worn. Can't help you with the hardness factor.
