 Mikuni Air Filter Sources
A few months ago I did a search on MMT for Mikuni air filters and ran across a thread with a link to a reasonably priced air filter for a vertical Mikuni that even had a little rain cover built into it. It looked a little different than the ones on Frozenboost.com. Also, I thought I remember something about them not being oiled, but I could be making that up. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Google cone filter with heat shield, you'll find many options.

 Re: Mikuni Air Filter Sources
Just get a Tau Ceti spark arrestor and pre-filter.

 Re: Mikuni Air Filter Sources
It looked like a filter with the old BPS rain cover on it, but it was built-in and plastic.

 Re: Mikuni Air Filter Sources
My issue with that filter is that I already have Boat Doctor's cover and I don't think it'll fit. I know I can just take it off, but it would be nice if I found one that fit.

 Re: Mikuni Air Filter Sources
The tau ceti db8 mentioned is what the kits come with. Boatdr should have em in stock. It's just a spark arrestor, not a filter, so it isn't oiled, doesn't need to be. You can probably order one a lil cheaper somewhere else, but you'll have to figure out the dimensions yourself. Probably posted on this site somewhere, but I dunno where.

 Re: Mikuni Air Filter Sources
I don't need an air filter, all I really need is a water filter.
In my research, I ran across a waterproof, clamp on filter made by Sprint Filter. I haven't found our exact size yet though. They just started selling them & they're based in Italy, so there's just not a ton of info out yet. They look just like a 3" K&N & didn't seem unreasonably expensive, so it might be an option if they make one that fits.

 Re: Mikuni Air Filter Sources
just got a filter from frozenboost and needed a little tape to fit on carb where you slip it on carb but beside that ok what i wanted to pass on is that a top off a qt size plastic can off coffee will fit in the open end of filter houseing to keep dust out while going down the hy way at 75mph works great and cheap
