 Gasket removal question What is the most efficient way to remove the factory head gasket form the block?

Re: Gasket removal question That is what I figured. Didn't know if there was any kind of release agent on the market you guys were using in conjunction with a plastic scraper.

Re: Gasket removal question  I like to a papertowel in the pushrod galleys to catch the small stuff. Then vacuum out after scraping. Makes for a nice cleanup. Skip on the grinder

Re: Gasket removal question Permatex gasket remover. oven cleaner and a plastic scraper or a plastic credit card edge to scrape with. I have never seen a engine builder yet that used a die grinder and rollex discs. There is a ra finish that needs to be maintained on a aluminum head surface. Also disc dust can migrate in to places it shouldn't be in.
