 New Hull Suggestions
I have a 36Hp Prodrive and right now its sitting on a 16/48 Lowe Mod-v. I only have about 40 hours on it. I want to go to a true mud hull and have been looking at my options. I have ridden in PD boats, but have not been really impressed with the speed. I have been looking at Gator Tax and they look slick, but was also considering a custom hull. I know a you all have a lot of information out there and suggestions. I would like to buy used. Not so much because of the cost, but because I have lost my appetite working with dealers. My budget is around $7k and from what I see that is a reasonable amount of cash since I already have the trailer. I haven't been completely disappointed with the Lowe boat, but the rear end rides to low in the water and is just not holding up. Someone's gonna get a heck of a deal on a Lowe hull

 Re: New Hull Suggestions
I'm not here to argue with you about my question... Just want some advice about a boat. Besides... I never did get a response to how people like a PD on a gator-trax.
Not really sure why you responded!!!

 Re: New Hull Suggestions
Well then do some damn research! My second post on here actually googled everything for you. You will see that lots of people have different opinions, and lots of gator trax's are heavy! I saw one guy on here complaining about his gator trax being too slow, and then a week or so later, the thing popped up stolen! Just a coincidence? Doubt it! They are also round chine boats. It all depends on wtf you are wanting out of your boat. You said you don't like the speeds from prodrive boats. But there are lots of people on here with speeds in the 30's on a prodrive boat.

 Re: New Hull Suggestions
Pro drive builds there boats to perform with there engines, with that said you can look at custom builders like Uncle J, WC Custom boats , or others if you prefer.

 Re: New Hull Suggestions
I'd skip a gator Trax hull. The cutback at the bottom of the transom will make the ass end sit low. Same goes for a godevil hull.

 Re: New Hull Suggestions
I'll rephrase.. The pd sucks balls on a 1644gd. Don't go that route.

 Re: New Hull Suggestions
I had a 31mb on a 1644gd and I was pleased with it. Big difference between it and the pd. I emailed Kent at gt when I still had the gd and asked him if it would be beneficial to close up the cutback and he said that it would for sure make a difference and bring the ass end up. I decided to sell it so I never messed with it.
