Post Morgan City
Gonna be headin south bound here in late April to pick up a new boat. The wife and I will have a day to kill before we gotta head back. Looking for a few recommendations on what to go check out while we're there.

When you come through West Monroe, don't forget to stop by the Duck Commander store! It's a must see in the south.

Congrats on your new boat!
While in Morgan city, be sure to stop in at the Rat. I'm pretty sure they have a motel too!

While down here in Morgan City, stop by the Berwick landing, launch the new rig and come by my camp. Well be exterminating bees and wasp, framing up new bathroom with shower unit and sipping crown. ha

Eat crawfish at susies. It's a hole in the wall, but good boiled seafood. If your not sure about the crawfish, order a couple pounds, and some other seafood to go along with it. Take a tour of the alligator farm in Gibson. The golf course restaurant is atchafalaya at Idlewild.

I second that. When my wife found out I went to a titty bar for my buddy's bachelor party. She cried. Litterally

Brownell tower. Not Brownell homes. Completely different thing. Don't get them confused.

I'm 10 min West of Morgan City, and my wife and I make day trips to New Orleans all the time. In just over an hour you can be in the french quarter. Park at one of the lots on Decatur, walk down burbon, go to some of the shops on Royal st. Go to the antique gun shop across from the court house. All the restaurants have the menus posted outside, so just walk until you see something you like. Look at the performers and artists in jackson square. If thats not your thing, the WWII museum can use up a day by itself. Your wife will appreciate this a lot more than dragging her around MC.

Don't get me wrong, I'd much rather drop a boat in the water and go catch some reds, or ride around the delta, but it doesn't sound like thats an option for you. It aint often, but when Blue's right, he right. there isn't much for a tourist to do in Morgan City.

I second the French Quarter trip. It's pretty damn cool the first time you go, and every time after that. To me anyway. Just don't go during bowl games or any high traffic event. Bourbon street is cool to see too. If you're not from there alot of it is pretty eccentric shit and cool to see. If you're that close you gotta do it. You just gotta do it if you're that close. There ain't no where else like it in the world.

lots and lots of roads closed in New Orleans.
If you've never been, id say yall should do it.
Great food, and a cool experience.
Don't go in places where there aren't a lot of people though.
And don't talk to the weirdos lol
