Yeah, I suppose the happy ending wouldn't seem to be as much of a miracle as it really is without describing all of the bad stuff. Thanks guys, y'all be safe

Hey Johnny, Thanks for looking in us. So far she's doing really good this year. We were in the hospital a couple of weeks ago for pneumonia but only for a week. She was home for Thanksgiving and we are hopeful we will get through Christmas with her staying home as well. We have a lot to be thankful for thats for sure. I keep saying if she doesn't go back into the hospital I will find a hunt to go on and get some birds. I haven't been in so long Im having a hard time getting back into it. If thats the worse I have to complain about these days then that shows you how far we have come as a family. Y'all stay safe out there.

Hey Guys, Thought yall would be glad to hear that we finally took Olivia out for her first ride. She made 5 this March so it was long over due. I wasnt sure how she was gonna handle it but once she saw a few turtles and gators she was all about it. Hopefully now that we have managed to get out we will do it again soon and actually try to catch something. Just need to find somewhere quiet away from all the boats that dont bother to slow down. We hope everyone is well and thanks again for thinking of us.

I don't know how you were able to handle everything ! I don't think as a father I would have held up as well as you . My kids are my world ! Glad to hear everything has turned out so well . God Bless You !!!!!!

If I said I was able to handle it on my own it would be a lie. A lot of long nights with family and friends for sure. Some scars just never heal but we have Olivia and she is everything to us and I wish I possessed just half the strength she carriers in her little heart. We are very thankful that Baton Rouge is finally getting a childrens hospital with Our Lady of the lake, its needed. We help out when we can and have told our story a few times at their fund raisers and 101.5. Its always a challenge but a good cause. Honestly a lot of this is just a blur and thats one of the reasons Im glad the admins havent seen fit to delete this thread. There are times when we are back in the hospital and its easy to get aggrivated or down about the loss of Isabella. Im able to return to this thread and remind myself how far we have come as a family and all that we have to be thankful for. We are fortunate that everyday for us is another happy ending or experience and Im glad to be able to share her story with yall.
