Post In the blind
An absolutely disgusting day with wind, rain and low dark cloud. Just the recipe for a successful big water hunt.
The birds were moving for hours, coming in one or two at a time with the exception of a mob of 40.
Had we shot better it could have been a exceptional hunt.
Still hauled up 6 mallards, 3 spoonies and 3 Canadian geese.
The weather cut up so rough we had to pull up decoys early or risk not boating out.

Boom.
Love this time of year.
Couple of hinds under the spot light to top up the freezer.
Think that takes me to something like 14 deer since Christmas and our hunting party to 17.

Nothing wrong with Canadians, spoonies, mallards and some tender meat hanging.
