Post MB BD 4400 HDR spin a Hammer?
Will it spin it? I have a prodigy and the HDR 4400 and I just want a little more load capacity, my big water hunting load is right at the edge of being a barge and just want something a little more without cracking the case on this motor and putting some better internals.

Big question is...will there be a difference? The local MB dealer says yes but I trust the mob better.

Yeah it will spin it. It will carry a load better than the BB.

You loose a couple mph on top speed but they are an awesome all around prop if you can turn it

I want to make sure if people search they hear the results.

I put on the hammer and ran it for teal season. I lost 2 MPH but it gets that boat up on plane very quick. It's also more responsive, I feel like I have a little more snap when turning. You have to strong arm it a little more no doubt. It's not as easy to turn but the boat is more responsive if that makes any sense. The boat turns better but it's more physically demanding. I'm turning about the same RPM's on plane depending how much I let the prop bite there's not much/if any MPH difference between 4100 and 4500 RPMs as I trim it up. Reverse is about 3 times as good. I get unbelievable bite in reverse. I like that.

The next real big test is tomorrow. I have 150 decoys in the boat and they are all on 1 lb. concrete weights for my buddy's permanent spread....I'll also have 4 guys and a dog. I don't expect to get over 5 MPH lol. We only have to boat a few hundred yards. But I will test the load as we throw out decoys and get the load down to a reasonable hunting load. I believe it will handle a load much better.
