They are comfortable to drive and it's nice facing forward and seeing over everyone in your boat. You can run it standing up as well and get good height on the platform.
But I did go back to a tiller. I like being able to work my motor and it was a pain to pick up jug lines.

What size boat did you have it on. Also did you find you were sitting to high. Im supposed to go demo one tomorrow. Im worried about being to high while frogging and getting knocked around by low branches.

I had an 1848. The top of the seat is the same height as the top of the motor when trimmed up.
Also forgot to mention the other benefit of not getting jarred by logs and stumps. Good idea on the demo

A little late but, I bought JALACOUR's stick steer and think its a great boat. Awesome for fishing and cruising. Height of the seat/steering platform has not been an issue for me until it comes to hunting out of the boat. I feel like its a little high and I stick out sometimes. It takes up a good bit of room in the back as well.
Other than that, the boat is awesome and a lot of fun to drive.
