Old Cane Pole!
https://youtu.be/zb6EArJ0eGQhehe! Man, getting back into cane pole fishing. I found a telescopic cane pole in my dad's shop. I had forgotten how fun it is.

Re: Old Cane Pole!
I used to do a good bit of fishing with my father-in-law. Sometimes I would bream fish with him, sometimes I would bass fish slowly while he went after bluegill and shell-crackers up near the banks.
He often times would cast a Zebco 33 yet have a cane pole hanging out the back of the boat.
In early spring when we went after crappie, he liked using the crappie buster fiberglass poles while we drifted creeks.
There is more skill to it than some would realize. I was never to good at it.

Re: Old Cane Pole!
I have an old cane pole that the previous owner left in my garage. I actually never knew that trick of spiralling the line down it. It makes sense to get a smooth bend throughout. learned something new
