That Polished Raptor got my girl woken up. Over 2 MPH faster than my big blade and a better hole shot. A worked Mercury 3 Blade was 3 MPH faster than my big blade. That raptor is the smoothest with the best reverse of the three by far. The Mercury has better top end and is consistent in speed. We are going to test them under a heavy load and see what’s up next. That will tell the real story. My rig just didn’t like that Big Blade at all. Right now the three blades are steady in the 28’s in deep water and a heavy cross wind. That is very solid for a heavy hull with 24 inch sides. Testing done with 2 batteries, 10 gallons of gas and my fat self. I stayed in the 28’s up and down the bayou with only roughly a .2 difference in speed either way.
With the big blade, I experienced noisy and heavy vibration, my rig wanted to dip down in the back and it dragged. It turned like a Gator Trax
With the 3 blades, I’m sliding on the top and I can’t feel or hear the vibration. It turns like a normal square chine 48 hull.
I will try and get some testing done next week with heavy loads.
