Post Problems with Prodrive starting
Battery is good. Fuel from tank goes through fuel pump up to carburetor. I have changed the bulb, fuel filter, and fuel pump. Cranks but doesn't appear to get any fuel. New spark plugs with fire. The only way it even almost starts it to put gas into spark plug areas. When cranking the engine, gas is getting to the carb. I am far from a mechanic. Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks

Chauncey

If your carb has a small solenoid on the bottom of it that is the fuel shutoff solenoid. Make sure u can hear it click when key is turned on. The wires to it often fail at the connectors, also the pintle on the solenoid can get stuck . Check these basics out first

What Will said. After checking the solenoid on the bottom of the carb, it'd be worth pulling the carb off and cleaning it. I had a small obstruction in mine last fall that kept it from starting - had the same symptoms you're describing. Pulling the carb and giving it a quick clean did the trick.

My wife's cousin and I reset the valves. Running like a champ.
