EFI sluggish
I've got a 2016 37 hp EFI Briggs Gatortail and when I try to take off, the engine dies unless I apply the throttle very slowly. any suggestions would be appreciated!

What style fuel tank are you running? Any check engine lights?

Re: EFI sluggish
Well the last time I ran the boat, the engine would die no matter how gentle I was advancing the throttle. The remote for the trolling motor died too so now I can't even go fishing. I have no choice but to bring it in. It just seems that anything I have ever touched that had EFI, the throttle response was instant. I'll keep ya'll posted.

Re: EFI sluggish
Is your battery fully charged? If the voltage drops to far, it can cause erratic behavior.

Re: EFI sluggish
You can still run the battery down with accessories and not running the engine enough. Over time the voltage will drop if you don't make long runs often or don't have a battery tender hooked up during storage. Can you check the voltage with a meter?
