Texas Hog
Some pig. Wyatt Walton has been trapping feral hogs in Texas for years, but the one he caught on a San Antonio golf course Thursday was a whopper by any standard. The animal weighed 411 pounds. “Two-hundred pounds is a big hog,” Walton told HuffPost on Wednesday. Walton and his Lone Star Trapping team used dogs to corral the animal at Gateway Hills Golf Course on Sept. 12. He then wrestled it to the ground and hog-tied it. https://www.facebook.com/wyatt.walton.3 ... 6017808987

Re: Texas Hog
The most impressive thing about this whole story is that he trapped and hogtied that big pig with Velcro shoes on. Legend status

Re: Texas Hog
Good one, not full russian, probably crossbred with a farm pig that got loose. I grew up catching them in Georgia with dogs, anything over 350 was worth bragging about. The biggest ones we caught was a 470 and a 480 in the same summer. My buddy had both full body mounted and in his game room. The big ones are easy to catch, they give out quick. The bad ones are about 225 pounds, those are small enough to be fast and big enough to tear up hell. Dog killers, we call em.

Re: Texas Hog
My sister and her husband caught one with dogs that was a little over 400lbs. It was mule footed. Was going to sell it to a trophy hunt club, but realized he may never get a mule footed monster like that again. He ended up shooting it and did a half mount so it would show off the mule feet.

Re: Texas Hog
Local fella here raised red waddle pigs for a few years, we got one butchered, it had a pink meat instead of white like typical pork and a distinct flavor. Was really good meat.
