 Motor brushing suggestions
I just purchased a scissor blind and I am planning on putting some rot free blind grass on the frame. Unfortunately, the bow and motor are going to remain exposed. Does anyone have suggestions for a semipermanent method fro brushing the bow and motor?
The boat is an 1846 gator tail. I am wanting to hunt more or less an open water area in the freshwater marsh of Louisiana. I was thinking of making some sawgrass bundles to go over the bow and motor.

 Re: Motor brushing suggestions
Save a piece of grass and keep it in your boat, when you get set up and the motor cools down, throw a sheet or 2 of fastgrass over motor.

 Re: Motor brushing suggestions
Take an old decoy bag and zip-tie some grass to it.

 Re: Motor brushing suggestions
I like that idea mallards only. Thank you.
Also if y’all haven’t checked it out this “blindgrass” company is awesome. They are located in Lafayette. The grass is synthetic and rot free. It comes in sheets and loose bundles.
I painted one side of the sheet green and left the other side brown. It is basically reversible to hunt early season then late. I was able to brush my boat blind for about 250$. I will send pics Saturday.

With a Prodrive, you can just back up into shit and hide it.

Will I know. Having some buyers remorse. Sold my prodrive and got a gator tail. Gator tail does 90 percent of what I want but that other 10 percent that prodrive does really makes a difference.

 Re: Motor brushing suggestions
Just make sure you give the motor time to cool off before you put it on or mount some kind of shield over the muffler area depending on what motor you're running. For the bow, I have two flaps that extend out beyond the scissor frame that fold out and cover the bow when I'm hunting. They tuck away and fold into the blind when stowed for traveling.

Yea I agree this was the second place we hunted that morning waiting on some big ducks. I need to add some more of this synthetic blind grass to the bottom

 Re: Motor brushing suggestions
This synthetic stuff is awesome. It doesn’t absorb water and become crazy heavy like fast grass

And it’s awesome when it gets wrapped up in your prop or ties itself in knots around everything in the boat.
