I've never really been impressed with the GTR hull quality.
80% of my friends who have a GTR hull say its not built as strong as they'd hoped.

Yeah that’s Disappointing for sure bro. It would almost look like they don’t run the ribs the full length of the bow the way that dent is

I dont believe they do. I think they weld flat bar inside the front deck.


FYI : this is not my boat, just showing off the greatest boats to hit the market.
The owner hit a stump going about 10 mph.

they use a different .125 than other builders lol. I would like to see a inside shot of that.

On a serious note. I have a gtr 1854 hull and i dont like it compared to my 1854 custom built. It feels like I'm riding on paper.

Ouch!!!! What kinda warranty does gt have on there hull? Lifetime? only thing I see they claim on there site is a warranty on the belt... Whole website page about "warranty" and they just say the belt lol

I will say this... he deff got a good weld on it... to be smacked like that right on the weld and bent that bad it appears the weld isn't even cracked or even around the weld...


BUT
I see the problem... if there was gatorglide on there that never would have happened... it would have just slid off

That photo reminds me of how bad I hate my fucking trailer that those boats come on.

He hit the hell out of something and it dented. Any 1/8th hull would have done the same.

Gatorglide is king. I love putting gatorglide on pirogues. Game changer for sure

I put GG on my pirogue and I couldn't pull it up on the bank. I had to sand the front half off. It kept pushing off the bank as soon as I would try to get up.

Most used boats bought are out of warranty. If I read right 8 years old is not an issue for most quality boats, but you didnt say what your looking at.

What does that boat have for bracing down the center?

They used to put flat bar in the bow up the rake, had that in my 2010 extreme. But now I have a 2016 and it has hat channel

The hybrid v hulls have hat channel in the rake? Didn’t GT basically take the flat legs off of hat channel and call it their own special designed bracing?
