The new rig is almost ready. We just need some rain so I'll have a place to float it.

Daniel (dfou) is building the boat and has gotten some help with the trailer so he could stay working on the boat. lol

Originally it was going to be a 18'6" x 54". The metal guys got the first hull wrong and had to do it over. When the second hull came in it was a little wide, 56", and I was only concerned with the beam width because of where I hunt. Wanted to keep it at 72" or less with a performance crimp on the sides. We went with it and when it came time to put the transom in we had a little to cut off and decided not to. So the boat is actually 18'11" x 56".

So basically it's a 1956 3/16 bottom, 1/8 sides, double taper chine, 7 longitudinal 2x2 runners, mod V front, with a hunt deck and lots of extras.

A stage 2 GTR 35 will be pushing this beast. Had to go with the Gator Tail although I looked at them all. Got the motor from Calen's Engine Service and Calen did the mods to the motor. Calen has been helpful and Kelley is as sweet as they come. I suspect she is a big help to Calen.

I also have a rain guard and small stuff from the Boat Dr.

The trailers usually get abused maybe more than the boat. So I wanted a tandem axel heavy duty trailer. It is heavy duty.

I can't say enough nice things about these guys. They have been great to work with! I was going to have RJ build the boat but he was covered up in work. He has also been a great help. He and Chris pointed me in Daniel's direction and all I can say is thank you. Several guys on MMT have been very helpful, thanks everybody!

Tried to listen to the voices of experience and put that with what little I know and wanted to get this rig together.

Box and pan brake is one of the most handiest thing in a sheet metal shop!
