Mud Buddy Black Death 4400 HDR
Has anyone received a production motor yet?? I haven't seen any real reviews yet. I get mine in 8 weeks when I pick up my Prodigy but I'm anxious to see some real world reviews. Don't make me be the first in 8 weeks.

Re: Mud Buddy Black Death 4400 HDR
I hear only a few are making it to the dealers this month. I think this is going to be a good motor.

Re: Mud Buddy Black Death 4400 HDR
I'm not 100% sure on that. I know that after that 100 they have a standing order of 10 per month. I'm not sure how many of the 100 they have sold. I know I'm one of them...I already have my serial number so it must be in production.

Re: Mud Buddy Black Death 4400 HDR
I believe it's still a tad soon. I think it'll be another couple weeks.....
Lmao, I think that may be the first time I participated in that joke. I did actually see one mounted on a boat on I20 headed east near bossier city last week, just didn't realize it until I was looking at pictures of them a couple days ago.

Re: Mud Buddy Black Death 4400 HDR
Still waiting...I just saw a post on the mudbuddy Facebook page that showed them all coming together. Maybe they'll get some out to dealers this week. It would be great to get it before teal. I'm trying to be patient at this point. I just hope it doesn't get messy like the last release.

Re: Mud Buddy Black Death 4400 HDR
i've been told mine is in the middle of the build at Mud buddy and should be to the shop in a couple weeks. I was assured that my entire new rig will be ready for delivery by mid Sep. Sucks i dont get home until Mid Oct at best. But he assured me it will be ready.

Re: Mud Buddy Black Death 4400 HDR
sorry if it is a stupid question, I have looked in the Mud Muddy web site and can't find the specs of this engine, there is little info about it. the 44 means it is a 44HP engine?

Re: Mud Buddy Black Death 4400 HDR
I am interested in this motor but in my area the access to a mechanic is very difficult and I imagine a stock motor it's a lot more reliable than a modified one.
is this a stock engine or the extra HP are done via performance parts?
Thank You

Re: Mud Buddy Black Death 4400 HDR
It depends on the level of modification and who performed it. Some mod motors I'd trust over stock but others I would not.

Re: Mud Buddy Black Death 4400 HDR
Well there's not a lot of communication from MudBuddy on these. I guess I'm just shocked they keep everything quiet. Why not just state publicly how many are in production and what the waiting list is looking like. This doesn't sound too complicated. You just say we are producing approximately 100/week and have XXXX amount of orders. And of course...the continued...yes they are in production/yes they are shipping...that tells the customers really nothing.

Re: Mud Buddy Black Death 4400 HDR
Well thank god my dealer is good with info. Looks like MB has shipped them to dealers. Dealers are receiving them and it looks like from here on out there will be a steady flow. Now it just depends on where you are at on the pecking order. Still shocked that MB won't give out estimated wait time for new orders.

Re: Mud Buddy Black Death 4400 HDR
All...mudbuddy looks like they are pretty backed up with orders. Which is ok and understandable. They've confirmed 7-8 weeks for new orders. They made some hires and are hoping to knock em out quicker but expect 7-8 weeks until told otherwise.
HDR conversions have pushed into next year. They have so many orders all the HDR clutches are going to new motors. Don't blame em.
Guys who have orders already in should be getting them incrementally depending on where they are on their dealers waiting list and when the dealer placed their orders. Dealers should be able to tell you where they are at. I've been told by mine.

Seems to be a trend. Not trying to get myself tossed in the kool-aid crew BUT why release a new product not available from anyone else thats sure to make sales and not be able to cope with demand.
